Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice & Takedown Procedures
Our Commitment
Hoofoot.net respects the intellectual property rights of content creators, broadcasters, and rights holders. We take copyright seriously — not as a legal formality, but as a genuine principle. If you create content, you deserve to control how it's used.
Our platform aggregates and embeds publicly available football highlights from third-party video hosting services. We do not host video content on our own servers. However, if you believe that any material accessible through Hoofoot.net infringes your copyright, we want to hear about it immediately.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner — or authorized to act on behalf of one — and believe that content on Hoofoot.net infringes your copyrighted work, you may submit a written takedown notice. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the original work you claim has been infringed, or provide a direct link to it.
- URL of the infringing material — Provide the specific Hoofoot.net URL(s) where the allegedly infringing content appears. Be as precise as possible — "somewhere on your site" won't cut it.
- Your contact information — Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address so we can reach you.
- Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement under penalty of perjury — A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one.
- Your signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
Incomplete notices may be delayed or may not receive a response. We process valid DMCA takedown requests promptly — typically within 48 business hours.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it previously appeared
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Hoofoot.net may be found
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking a restraining order.
Repeat Infringers
Hoofoot.net maintains a policy of terminating access for users who are repeat copyright infringers, in appropriate circumstances. If a source or contributor repeatedly provides infringing material, we will permanently remove their content and block future submissions. No exceptions.
